A central heat pump (a ducted system) connects to your home's ductwork to heat and cool every room evenly - the same comfort everywhere, without visible wall heads. It is often the right call when a furnace reaches the end of its life: you replace an aging system with a more efficient unit, and you gain central cooling as a bonus.
The typical central heat pump client comes to us precisely because the furnace is truly done, since replacing with a central unit while the furnace still works rarely justifies itself on cost. If your furnace has years left in it, we will tell you honestly - but when it starts giving out, the math changes, especially with the rebates.
Where a central unit demands rigour is your existing ductwork and the sizing. Not every duct network suits a central heat pump, and the wrong tonnage gives you a system that strains or short cycles. That is why we inspect your ducts and calculate the BTU before giving you a price - never the other way around.

That is the real unknown with a central heat pump, and it is exactly why we assess it before pricing. Some duct networks can be reused as is, others need adjustments. We tell you before you decide, in the quote - not mid-project with an invoice that balloons. You know the real price up front.

That is precisely why sizing and choosing a high-performing model matter, and why we look at dual energy: pairing the heat pump with backup heating or with Hydro-Quebec's DT rate ensures comfort in deep cold while optimizing costs.
On the rebate side, a central unit replacing a furnace often opens the best scenario. LogisVert covers a significant share of the unit, and at the project level, Renoclimat can be added for envelope work provided the evaluation is done before the work. Nous sommes en copropriété et nous nous doutions qu'une des copropriétaires avait un nid d'oiseau dans son conduit de sécheuse. Pierre-Alexandre est venu faire un bon nettoyage et a été assez respectueux de la nature pour poser sous nos cèdres les 3 oeufs trouvés avec une partie du nid enlevé au cas où la mère reviendrait pour ses petits.
