Air conditioner installation in Longueuil and on the South Shore
You want cooling without heating? We install the central or wall-mounted air conditioner you need - but first we do the honest math for you, air conditioner versus heat pump, because the LogisVert rebate often changes the equation. In-home evaluation, clear quote, installation by our in-house team.
Cool the house, yes - but look at the numbers first
A lot of people call us for an air conditioner, central or wall-mounted, simply because they want cool air in summer without touching their heating. That is a legitimate request, and we do install air conditioners. But before selling you a box, we show you something few installers take the time to explain.
Here is the market reality in 2026: the LogisVert rebate does not apply to an air conditioner on its own, but it does apply to a heat pump. And a heat pump does exactly what an air conditioner does in summer - it cools - and it heats in winter as a bonus. Once the rebate is deducted, the price gap between an air conditioner alone and a heat pump often becomes small, and nine out of ten clients who call for an air conditioner end up with a heat pump once they have seen the numbers.
That said, it is not automatic. If after the math you really do want an air conditioner alone - because that matches your need and your budget - we install it, without inventing a need you do not have. Our job is to give you honest information, not to push you toward the more expensive option.
And the type of air conditioner matters too. A central air conditioner distributes cold air through your home's ductwork, ideal if you already have a network and want even cooling everywhere. A wall-mounted air conditioner (or split system) cools one or a few zones without ductwork, handy for targeting the rooms that heat up most. The right choice depends on your home, your existing ductwork and the rooms you want to cool - another reason to do the in-home evaluation before pricing.
Air conditioner installation is part of Air 2's sales and installation silo: in-home evaluation, honest math, a clear quote, and installation by our in-house team.

Air conditioner or heat pump: what separates them
Both cool. Only one heats and qualifies for LogisVert. Here is what you need to decide.

"An air conditioner is the budget option"
That is what everyone assumes, and it used to be true. But with the LogisVert rebate covering the heat pump and not the air conditioner alone, the price gap has narrowed to the point where the air conditioner is no longer necessarily the budget option. Often, for barely more net, a heat pump gives you the cooling you wanted plus heating for the winter.
The other idea: "my furnace still works, I just want to add cooling." Perfectly valid - and in that case an air conditioner may be the right choice. But it is worth seeing the numbers first, because if your furnace is also nearing its end, killing two birds with one stone with a heat pump can change the math.
We do not force anything on you. We show you the scenarios - air conditioner alone, heat pump with LogisVert - and you choose what suits you. If you go with the air conditioner, it is our in-house team that installs it, and the same team that handles the air conditioner repair afterward.
